Welcome
to my campaign website
I really appreciate
your interest in
my race for the 68th Assembly District in 2010. Thank you for
taking the time to stop by, and I hope you will find your visit
informative and enjoyable.
Why Long Pham For Assembly?
Many
people have asked me what made me return to the Assembly race as a
write-in candidate. The past actions of both the Democratic
candidate Phu Nguyen and his Republican rival Allan Mansoor did not
give me confidence that either of them, as an assembly member, would
stand up against financial pressure from special interests and
protect the interests of our residents.
Due to the lack of
ethical integrity on the part of elected officials,
legislation and regulation at federal, state, and local
levels were often made to reward special interests and not
to protect voters. This is the main reason for the
financial crisis we are facing today that affects everyone
in our society. It was a similar situation in 1982 that
made a former congressman from the California 43rd
congressional district, Dr. Ron Packard, to re-enter the
congressional race as a write-in candidate. He was strongly
opposed by his party, but he won.
As the
ethical record of my years on the Orange County
Board of Education and in the private industry
speaks for itself, I am committed to
maintaining my untainted record as I will represent
you in the State Assembly. In addition to the
three goals of improving education, jobs, and
the cost of energy that I presented in the primary
election, an additional goal is also to undo
the long term social-economical damage caused by the
unprecedented level of corruption of Mansoor and the
irresponsible council members who rubber stamped the
Fairgrounds lease on 8-24-2010.
My priorities
in Sacramento are to introduce and fight to pass:
1. A
math and science education bill for K-12
2. A
business revitalization plan,
providing tax
incentives and streamlining regulation process to spur industrial
businesses and job opportunities.
3. A
state energy policy,
promoting
investment in new industrial facilities such as desalination and
nuclear power plants.
4. A public official accountability bill,
making elected officials liable for omissions or corrupt
action's they perform willfully in office.
With my experience working with
the legislature, my 30 years of industrial service, my
technical expertise, my Doctorate in Management, my connections in
the engineering community, and my devotion to limited government, I
will bring to Sacramento and serve you with the knowledge, value and
ability to reduce California’s growing government.
What sets me apart from other candidates is my
experience and proven leadership in effectively influencing
government policy on business and technical issues.
Please support and write-in "Long"
on your official ballot to vote for Long
Pham on November 2nd,
2010.
Sincerely,
